he field of studies carried out by the International Eurasian Institute for Economic and Political Research covers the states in transition located at the crossroads of East and West.

The priority is given to the states of the Central Asian region which were established after the collapse of the USSR.

The objectives of the Institute are as follows:

  • Gathering and dissemination of reliable information on economic, political as well as socio-cultural processes in the region; express analysis of the most important events and trends;
  • Realization of large-scale research projects by Institute’s own means as well as in collaboration with sister research institutions;
  • Organization of various academic and praxis oriented activities.

The Institute is based on the idea of promoting the formation of civilized, genuinely democratic regimes, open society and free economy in the Central Asian sector of post-Soviet space.

The Institute will support the processes under which the “Eurasian” concept would lead to progressive linkage of Western civilization and Oriental traditions instead of justifying the limitation concerning democracy and human rights. Our task is to help to overcome the vestige of political culture inherited from the Soviet past.

Among the Institute’s priorities is study and search for the most effective ways in which the world community could impact on the political processes in developing democracies of the region.

The Institute will also investigate the opportunities for democratic forces integration on all the post- Soviet territory.
